TaguTagu - Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to some of the common questions
What is TaguTagu?
TaguTagu is a file tagging software - an application that enables you to attach "tags" to arbitrary files on your computer, so you can later intuitively find the files by searching their tags. TaguTagu requires Microsoft .Net framework 2.0
How did it get its name?
Since most of the common names having "tag" in them were already used for MP3 tagging applications, it was tough to find an appropriate, amusing name for the new application. After some Googling, a friend suggested "Tagu" or "TaguTagu", which means "drum" or "big drum" in some Asian language. A slight problem is that he couldn't find what language exactly, but the name was good and amusing enough so it stuck. Admittedly, the imagery of the drum is underutilized in the application :)
How is TaguTagu licensed?
The demo version of TaguTagu (identified by a nagging "buy me" message box) can be used non-commercially for unlimited time period. To get rid of the nagging message or to use TaguTagu on a computer that's also used to do business on, you need to buy a TaguTagu license. These licenses are issued to one person and can be used on as many computer as he or she owns.
